Biography
Prof. Ajit Kumar Kayal is a highly experienced anaesthetist, intensivist, and trauma specialist with over 30 years in clinical and academic medicine. He has served as a Senior Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist at St George’s University of London NHS Trust (2003-2022) and is currently a Professor of Practice in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, India.
Prof. Kayal has played a key role in the development of trauma and critical care units, including at CMC Vellore, India (2022). His expertise extends to digital health, AI in healthcare, and climate change awareness. He has also served as a COVID-19 expert for the Punjab Government (2021-2022) and an Advisory Member of NECOPD, UK (2012-2014).
With a global medical presence, including work in Canada and the UK, he remains dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovation, research, and education.
