Biography
Dr. Meng Zhang is a physician-scientist and Master’s Supervisor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, where she serves as an Assistant Researcher and Resident Physician in the Department of Endocrinology. She earned her M.D. from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2021 and was selected as a pioneer member of the hospital’s prestigious "Outstanding Medical Youth Training Program." Currently working at the Institute of Immunometabolic Diseases (MED-X Research Institute), her research spans metabolic disorders, thyroid diseases, and immunometabolic regulation. Dr. Zhang has led one NSFC grant, participated in three NSFC projects, and published 10 papers (8 SCI-indexed, including JCI Insight and Thyroid). She co-authored two monographs, holds one patent, and received the 2020 Shaanxi Provincial First Prize and 2024 Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
